at
Wake Forest University.
The
Reverend Peg
Chemberlin
Currently
serving as President of the National Council of Churches, USA., an
organization of 45 million people in more than 100,000 local
congregations across the United States. Rev. Chemberlin is a
Moravian clergywoman who has led the Minnesota Council of Churches for
over 13 years and she is the first Minnesotan to serve as the national
president. She is one of 25 people selected to serve on President
Obama's Advisory Council on Faith-Based and Neighborhood
Partnerships.
Sister
Angelene Swart
Sister Swart is a former educator, who has served as President of the Provincial Elders' Conference in her province of South Africa. She was invited to be the keynote speaker for the Southern Province synod in 2006, and later that year was elected President of our worldwide church's Unity Board, a position she held for two years. Sister Swart also filled the role of chaplain for the two weeks of our most recent Unity Synod, held in London in 2009.
